Kays Engineering is proud to introduce our new control system for the Dehoff and Eldorado product line. This new package includes an embedded PC based control system that will emulate the typical PLC based control features while at the same time provide features commonly associated with the personal computer. This package also utilizes the widely accepted Microsoft Windows operating system with built in Ethernet capability. The advantages of this operating system being of the embedded series is that it is compact enough to reside and run from from a solid state disk drive. (i.e. compact flash card) instead of a typical PC magnetic hard drive. This results no moving parts and reliability in a production environment. Because of these features the controls have become more reliable and versatile giving way to the following new features:
Full color 6.5' display (12" display option available for DeHoff models) Built in calculator for cutting parameters Part program storage (Standard) Extended program storage optional F.A.Q. built into the interface Multiple fault readout Spindle speed and Feed rate override while in automatic cycle. Machine failure diagnostics via remote industrial ethernet communication or dial up modem. Modular components for quick change out. (Comparable to rack mounted PLC) Manual pulse generator for remote Z-axis activation. (DeHoff option) Remote coolant pressure control (DeHoff option)
In addition to new machines this package is available for control retrofits. This procedure can be either as a field installation or as part of a full factory machine rebuild.
