Programmer / IT Support Company: Kays Engineering manufactures the well respected Dehoff and Eldorado line of precision deep hole drilling systems. This combined product line serves to offer a wide range of available systems for the Gundrilling, BTA and Ejector processes.
Job Title: Programmer / IT Support Scope: This position will include both information technology (IT) and controls programming duties. This includes providing IT support to all departments. Assist the Controls Engineer in programming of new machines as well as revising existing programs. Position reports to the Controls Engineer.
Requirements: Good verbal and written communication skills. · 0-2 years experience in Control Design and/or Information Technology. · BS/MS/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent training. · Prefer experience in the following programming environments · Visual Basic · C\C++\VC++ · Rockwell RSLogix Family · IEC 61131-3 Programming Languages · TwinCAT · Experience with the following is preferred · Windows 2003 Server · DHCP Management · Active Directory · Local DNS · Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
Duties: · Programming · Update existing programs in TwinCAT PLC and RSLogix 500/5000 · Develop new programs in TwinCAT PLC and RSLogix 500/5000 · Develop HMI visualizations within TwinCAT PLC, RSView ME, and PanelBuilder32 · Thoroughly document the progress of standard program architecture designs · Information Technology · Maintain current servers, printers, and workstations · Evaluate LAN/VLAN design · Manage VPN connections Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Controls Engineer.
